At A Kneaded Massage, I understand that schedules change and unexpected situations come up. These policies are in place to keep the schedule running smoothly, protect appointment times, and ensure availability remains fair for all clients.
By scheduling an appointment, clients agree to the following policies.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service price.
I understand that emergencies, illnesses, family situations, and other unexpected circumstances happen. Cancellation fees may be waived at my discretion.
This policy is primarily intended to address repeated late cancellations, missed appointments, or cancellations that significantly impact the schedule.
If you arrive late, your session may need to end at the originally scheduled time so the next client's appointment is not delayed.
The full scheduled appointment price may still apply.
If there is not enough remaining time to safely or reasonably provide the scheduled service, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and may be subject to the cancellation policy.
Massage packages are prepaid and are intended for use by the client who purchased them.
Massage packages expire 3 months from the date of purchase, allowing clients to maintain a consistent schedule of approximately one appointment per month or more frequently.
Package appointments are subject to the same cancellation and rescheduling policies as individually purchased appointments.
A late cancellation will not automatically result in the loss of an entire package session. When a cancellation fee applies, it will be based on 50% of the regular price of the scheduled service.
Assisted Stretching packages are prepaid and are intended for use by the client who purchased them.
3-session packages expire 3 months from the date of purchase.
6-session packages expire 6 months from the date of purchase.
Clients are welcome to use their sessions more frequently based on their goals and recommended schedule.
Assisted Stretching package appointments are subject to the same cancellation and rescheduling policies as individual appointments. When a cancellation fee applies, it will be based on 50% of the regular price of the scheduled service rather than forfeiting an entire package session.
Gift certificates may be redeemed toward eligible services at A Kneaded Massage and are subject to the terms provided at the time of purchase.
Gift certificates have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
Please provide accurate health information when completing your intake forms and notify me of any relevant changes before your appointment.
This may include new injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, medications, movement restrictions, or other health changes that could affect your session.
Services may be modified, postponed, or discontinued when appropriate for your comfort and safety.
Massage therapy and assisted stretching are not substitutes for medical diagnosis, evaluation, or treatment when medical care is appropriate.
Intraoral techniques are optional and are only performed with your consent.
Gloves are worn for all intraoral work, and you may decline, modify, or ask to stop intraoral techniques at any point during your session.
Your decision to decline intraoral work will not prevent you from receiving other TMJ massage techniques.
Your comfort and consent are important throughout every appointment.
Please communicate any concerns regarding pressure, positioning, stretching intensity, temperature, draping, or techniques being used.
You may ask to modify or stop any technique at any time.
A Kneaded Massage provides professional therapeutic massage and assisted stretching services only.
Any inappropriate, sexual, threatening, or abusive behavior will result in the session being ended immediately. The client may be charged for the scheduled appointment and may be refused future services.
