A Kneaded Massage was built around a simple idea: massage shouldn't be a one-size-fits-all routine.
Every client comes in with different goals, different areas of tension, and different demands on their body. That's why each session is tailored around what you're experiencing that day—whether you're dealing with ongoing muscle tension, a specific problem area, limited mobility, or simply trying to keep your body feeling its best.
I've been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Illinois since 2012 and opened A Kneaded Massage in 2016.
Over the years, my practice has become increasingly focused on therapeutic, problem-focused massage. Rather than following the same routine every appointment, I want to understand what's bothering you, what may be contributing to it, and where our time together can make the biggest difference.
I've also developed a particular focus on TMJ massage, working with clients experiencing jaw tension, clenching, and related muscular discomfort. This may include work to the jaw, face, head, neck, and shoulders as well as optional intraoral techniques when appropriate.
My goal isn't simply to help you feel better for an hour. I want you to better understand what's contributing to the tension you're experiencing and give you practical ways to take care of your body between appointments.
As A Kneaded Massage has grown, so have the ways I help clients feel and move better.
Today, I offer three primary services:
Massage Therapy
Customized therapeutic massage focused on relieving tension, reducing pain, and addressing the areas that need the most attention.
TMJ Massage
Focused work for jaw tension and related muscular discomfort, including the muscles of the jaw, face, head, neck, and shoulders.
Assisted Stretching
One-on-one assisted stretching designed to improve mobility, reduce stiffness, and help you move more comfortably.
One thing I regularly tell clients is to look at the things we do for the longest periods of time—especially work and sleep.
Even after a great massage, most of us return to the same desk, job, workouts, sleeping positions, and daily routines that contributed to our tightness in the first place.
That's why I look at massage and stretching as part of the bigger picture. When appropriate, I'll recommend simple stretches, mobility work, self-release techniques, or changes you can make outside your appointment to help maintain the progress we make together.
You don't need a complicated hour-long routine at home. Sometimes a few minutes spent consistently on the right things can make a meaningful difference.
Individualized Sessions
Your appointment is based on your goals and what you're experiencing—not a predetermined routine.
Focused Care
We'll prioritize the areas that need attention instead of trying to fit everything into every appointment.
Clear Communication
You're encouraged to communicate about pressure, comfort, techniques, and what you're feeling throughout your session.
Practical Recommendations
When appropriate, you'll leave with simple things you can work on between appointments.
